Christmas is here and having a three old daughter has been a great reminder of all that is great about this time of year. The Christmas lights glow a little brighter, the hot chocolate taste a bit sweeter, and the Christmas carols are sung a little louder.
It’s also a great opportunity to teach her about the true meaning of Christmas, of when God sent the most amazing gift of grace for all, and as recipients of such an amazing grace, we have the privilege of sharing that grace with others. GTN’s Christmas assistance project, The Wenceslas Project, helps us provide that lesson for our whole family.
This year GTN is sharing grace with 25 local families, approximately 100 children. We greatly appreciate all the sponsoring families, Sunday School classes, churches, and businesses that have taken on this great privilege, even in the midst of uncertain economic times.
GTN is still seeking 6 more sponsors to sponsor qualifying families in need. If you, your Sunday School class, your workplace, or your civic organization is interested in sponsoring a family or even just one child, please sign up or contact GTN by Friday, December 12. It’s not too late and any gift you can share reflects grace, which is the goal of this project.
