I sent out a holiday newsletter last week informing our supporters that we are unable to do our regular Christmas project (The Wenceslas Project) helping local families with Christmas and sharing grace with them.  I cited the fact that we had little response from past supporters and those that did respond, responded that they would be unable to help this year.  However, since that holiday newsletter went out last week I have had many calls and emails from those asking about the project and desiring to help a family.    Unfortunately it is too late in the process to do the normal project, however, if you, your family, your church, your business, or your Sunday School class would like to help a family in need this Christmas, I can still connect you to family in need and you are free to help as you see fit. Contact me ASAP if you’re interested.

GTN will be doing The Wenceslas Project for children in Haiti as part of the REDEEM HAITI ministry.  We will be able to do much with far fewer resources.  If you would like to make a donation of any size, $5 will supply a child with a great Christmas gift and a warm meal, please do so now.  We would also love for you to send GTN a Christmas card, but instead of wishing us a Merry Christmas if you would simply write, “Joyeux Noël” and maybe a favorite verse, we will deliver these cards to Haitian families the week before Christmas.  Send your cards to:

While it’s a bit early to bring out the Christmas tree, it’s not too early to begin planning GTN’s Christmas assistance project, The Wenceslas Project. This year we will again provide Christmas support to local families in need who have qualified through the interview process.  The goal of the project is simple, to share grace at Christmas.  GTN believes that this is one proper response we as Christians should have to the abundant grace that God has shown each of us.  What better response as Christians, those who received the abundant and amazing grace of God, than to spread God’s grace, and what better time of year to do so?  The Wenceslas Project was the founding ministry project for Grace to the Nations, and continues to be a great illustration of everything this ministry is about (John 10:16) by connecting the community of believers into the community of need.

We are seeking out sponsors to sign up early so that GTN can get an estimate on how many families we will be able to support this Christmas.  Consider making The Wenceslas Project part of your family’s Christmas.  It has revolutionized the way our family celebrates Christmas and many other families share the same testimony of The Wenceslas Project helping them restore the meaning of Christ back into their Christmas.
