A special thank you to all the residents and postal workers of Canton and Talking Rock. Your donations of food from Saturdays Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will provide food for hundreds of local families through the Bags of Grace ministry. Over 2 tons of food were donated to Grace to the Nations. Job well done!

Bags of Grace: Spring Distribution 2010

Grace to the Nations distributed food and children’s clothing to over 25 families in need this past Saturday, April 17, 2010. Special thanks to Hide & Seek Day Camp for the clothing donations and to all the volunteers who helped organize and serve the local community of need.

We will be serving the local community of need with food and children’s clothing, shoes, and toys. GTN needs volunteers to help organize on Friday, April 16th from 1-5pm at the GTN Distribtuion Center at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Distribution day, Saturday, April 17th starts at 10am, we can always use volunteers at the distribution, so come on out and help serve in our community.

Back-to-School Distribution: Sat., August 1, 2009

We will be serving GTN clients’ children with back to school necessities along with our normal Bags of Grace distribution. GTN needs your help collecting school supplies for the August 1st distribution as well as your help on distribution day.

There will also be a volunteer work day at the GTN Distribtuion Center at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Thursday July 23rd at 2pm to prepare Back-to-School bags. Distribution day (Saturday, July 30th) starts at 10am, we can always use volunteers, so come and experience the blessing of service.

Grace to the Nations will be hosting a Bags of Grace Distribution this Saturday, May 9th. Vols needed from 9am to 12pm. Workday is Thursday from 1-5pm at GTN Distribution Center at Mt.Zion Baptist Church, 4096 East Cherokee Dr, Canton, GA 30114.

Last Saturday’s Bags of Grace and Children’s Clothing Distribution was a wonderful day of service and illustrating God’s grace to those in need. We were able to serve 36 families and almost 100 children with some simple gifts of food and clothing. Obviously we can never give them enough to meet every physical need, but it such a wonderful blessing and privilege to be able to give them anything and point them to that which is greater still.

I personally love distribution day, yes it’s a lot of work to prepare, at times messy dealing with the sin issues that arise at such an event, but the exhaustion is well worth the opportunity to worship God by serving the least of these.

Thank you to all who donated their time, effort, energy, food supplies, and money that made this day a reality. Thanks to Born Again Blessings for the large donation of clothes and children items. Collectively we were able to give a great witness to the love and grace of our Lord. God bless you and grace be with you!

Bags of Grace Distribution: February 28th, 2009

Grace to the Nations (GTN) is having a Bags of Grace Distribution on February 28th. Along with food, we will be giving out children’s clothing sizes newborn to juniors as well as other children and baby items. This is great opportunity for you to volunteer as we need volunteers to prepare for and conduct this distribution. If you are interested please read on and get involved!

Thursday, February 26th: Preparation Work Day
On Thursday, February 26th from 1pm-5pm volunteers will meet to sort and organize the items, food and children’s clothing. The Work Day will take place in the old chapel of Mt. Zion Baptist Church (4096 East Cherokee Dr. Canton, GA 30115). This is a great opportunity for you, your family, Sunday School class, or business to come and get involved. Contact us and let us know if you can help.

Saturday, February 28th: Distriubtion Day
GTN’s distribution will provide Bags of Grace, clothing and other children’s items free of charge to families in need. We will need volunteers to help register folks, assist them in finding and loading items, check them out, and just to love and relate to them. Distributions are always a great blessing for everyone involved, so please join us!

The Gospel Challenge

This emphasis alone contrasts us most plainly from other local nonprofit ministries. We are explicitly Christian and evangelical, driven by gospel motives. We desire to be more intentional in evangelizing, training, and connecting people around the gospel of Jesus Christ locally, nationally, and internationally. We believe that without the gospel all else is vanity, so we desire to make the gospel central to all that we are and to all that we do.

Biblical Foundation: 2 Corinthians 4:1-6

Specific Project for 2009: Trips to Haiti, and Dominican Republic (Spring, Summer, Fall). Contact Grace to the Nations if you would like to join us for a trip.

2008 Winter Coat Distribution

An amazing day of watching God’s soverign hand of grace as he used His people to bring in coats and food to meet the need of the day. Fifty-five families were served and almost 30 volunteers came to serve.

Grace to the Nations is having its next Bags of Grace Distribution Saturday, October 25th!
Please join GTN in sharing the love of Christ with those in need in the Canton area!

There are two ways to help:

1) Donate items for the distribution;
a. Deadline to collect items: Wednesday, October 22nd
b. Items can be dropped off at GTN’s collection sites or contact Cathy.
c. Theme for this distribution: Winter Coat Distribution

d. Individuals can also collect basic food items (Canned food, nonperishables, etc.)
2) Come and volunteer with us!
a. Outreach center work day Thursday, October 23rd at 2:00 pm
b. Distribution day Saturday, October 25th at 8:30 am
